Module 2 checkpoint
Before you start doing 1:1s, you should be able to name the tradition you are working in and the principles you are accountable to.
1. Ella Baker. What does 'group-centered leadership' demand of you, specifically, this quarter?
2. Citizenship Schools. What is one piece of pipeline infrastructure your campaign currently lacks?
3. SNCC discipline. Who in your community has earned the right to be deferred to that you have been overriding?
4. Relational vs counterfeit. Name one practice your org currently does that you would now call counterfeit organizing. What would the relational version cost, in dollars and hours?
When you can answer these four without flinching, you have your Relational Lens badge. The Lens is not a credential you earn once — it is a check you run every month against the work.
Learner action
Schedule a 30-minute conversation with one elder or longtime organizer in your geography to ask: 'What did the base look like here when it was strong?' Take notes. Save them.
