Mapping the ladder onto Action Network tags

The ladder lives in your CRM as a single tag per member. Set the convention now.

Use these five tags, exactly: ladder: signer, ladder: attender, ladder: 1:1 done, ladder: host, ladder: leader.

Every member has exactly one ladder: tag at any time. When you move a person up, you must remove the previous rung's tag and add the new one. This is non-negotiable; otherwise filtering breaks.

Build saved 'Targeted Email' segments for each rung. 'All signers in geo: district 4' is the segment you'll text for an upcoming meeting. 'All 1:1 done in constituency: renter' is the segment you'll invite to your renter leadership cohort.

Set a recurring weekly task for yourself or a teammate to review who has moved rungs in the last 7 days, and update tags. This is the single most important maintenance ritual of the base.
